Patrick J. Mugisha (Moogy) is an innovation and Intellectual Property value chain management specialist. Patrick aka Moogy committedly helps clients to manage ideas with potential commercial value or societal impact across the board.

He dedicatedly seeks to witness ideas sprout into inventions or innovations that have manageable intangible value.

Moogy brings in a wealth of experience of close to 12 years from both the public and private spheres. Over the years, he has mastered the art of designing innovation and Intellectual Property management policies/strategies for StartUps, MSMEs, Academia and Public Research Institutions.

He passionately pursues to find sustainable answers to the ever-dynamic questions that arise from the challenges that deter the innovation ecosystems in Africa from thriving.

Moogy has honed his expertise in technology development and transfer advisory, Quality Management & Standards, public and private sector innovation cluster and ecosystem design and implementation and designing of Intellectual Property policies and strategy design.

He also supports our clients with new product design from ideation to market, establishment and operationalization of innovation and Intellectual Property Management Offices alongside development of business models designs using a Human Centered Design Approach.

Moogy hold a Masters in Intellectual Property from Africa University in Mutare - Zimbabwe, a Master’s of Science degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry - Research from University of Southampton - United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry - Makerere University from Kampala - Uganda. He is also an alumnus of the YALI East Africa Regional Leadership Centre.
